I mean, if I try really hard I can sort of read German. I can understand french, Portuguese, etc.

But I can’t speak em. I get scoffed for my accent too.

i used to be able to speak german and french... back before cable tv turned up and gave me options... its gone downhill since... i still understand both just fine (course being dutch.. german aint that hard)
